Three Major Consortium Engine Manufacturers
The Consortium's propulsion industry is served by three major engine manufacturers. The five propulsion families are technological principles, not exclusive corporate property — Calderon, Veyron-Kessler, and Orison may compete within the same family and may license or co-develop later models.
Calderon Propulsive Systems (CPS)
Calderon builds for reliability, durability, and heavy-duty service. Its engines favor predictable maintenance cycles, long storage life, and brute-force lifting — the dependable backbone of commercial, heavy-transport, and emergency propulsion.

Veyron-Kessler Dynamics (VKD)
Veyron-Kessler builds for performance. Its engines accept severe thermal loads and shorter service intervals in exchange for thrust-to-mass ratio, combat response, and pursuit capability — the preferred supplier of military, interceptor, and tactical craft.

Higher-Dimension Research
Scientists associated with Calderon Propulsive Systems, Veyron-Kessler Dynamics, and Orison Stellar Engineering are actively researching higher-spatial transit states beyond Ys. The objective is to identify stable geometric pathways with still greater distance reduction and therefore shorter transit times. Canon does not currently establish the names, reduction factors, stability envelopes, or operational viability of any setting beyond Ys.
