Approved Operating Principle
A Quantum Vacuum Thruster (QVT) is a reactionless propulsion system that produces momentum through controlled interaction with quantum fields. It does not create a Gorbillian field, does not generate energy, and does not require the Gorbillian system to operate.
A QVT contains a Quantum Field Interaction Chamber (QFIC). Powerful electromagnetic systems drive the local quantum-field state away from equilibrium and rapidly alter field geometry, phase relationships, and boundary conditions. The resulting engineered asymmetry produces a net momentum exchange between the vessel and the surrounding quantum fields. No conventional propellant plume is required.

Full-Vector Translation
QVTs are especially valuable for full-vector translation because the desired momentum vector is established by field geometry rather than by a conventional exhaust nozzle. Properly arranged QVT nodes can move a vessel forward, backward, laterally, vertically, or diagonally without first rotating the hull.
Nonlinear Efficiency
QVT efficiency decreases nonlinearly as thrust rises: doubling thrust requires more than twice the electrical power. This preserves the distinct roles of ion, fusion, antimatter, and conventional rocket propulsion — QVT is not a universal replacement, but a precision and vectoring specialist.
