Vertikron Technology
Fires a focused burst of Vertikron energy using electronic excitation and containment fields. The energy destabilizes molecular bonds at the target, causing instant structural failure at a subatomic level.

KAVOE doctrine classifies the MGT-10 as an anti-material weapon due to its tremendous penetrating capability. A direct hit is considered almost universally fatal. Unlike Vertikron weapons — which often rely on controlled energy transfer and can be configured to incapacitate or disable — the MG-series is designed around kinetic lethality. KAVOE doctrine therefore treats every MG-series weapon as a weapon of deadly force, authorizing its use only when lethal engagement is justified under military rules of engagement.

Section I — Projectile Weapons
Projectile weapons are optimized for armored vehicles, spacecraft, hardened fortifications, robots, and megafauna. They are not intended for routine use against personnel due to their extreme kinetic energy. KAVOE uses thorium because it is abundant on Consortium-controlled worlds, politically easier to regulate than fissile materials, provides excellent armor penetration with fewer incendiary effects, and its very high melting point makes it ideal for electromagnetic launch systems. KAVOE projectiles are elongated ellipsoids for superior sectional density and penetration. MG-series weapons contain no gunpowder — a Thrishton-powered capacitor energizes superconducting coils that accelerate the projectile down the barrel. Because no combustion occurs, they operate identically in atmosphere, vacuum, or underwater.

Section II — Directed Energy Weapons
Includes Vertikron Pulse weapons and Gamma-Ray Photon (Death Ray) systems. Vertikron weapons project a compact spherical field instead of a solid projectile. Within the field, intense electromagnetic interactions strip electrons from nearby matter. Organic tissues undergo rapid oxidation. Output is measured on the Tarrichan Scale from Level 1 through Level 15. Levels 1–2 produce mild pain or vertigo, Levels 3–5 are intended for temporary incapacitation, Levels 6–10 produce severe tissue destruction, and Levels 11–15 maximize biological or structural damage. Standard infantry weapons include the KG71 compact sidearm, TR54 full-sized service rifle, and LR54 rifle variant.

Section II-B — Gamma-Ray Photon Weapons (GPG Series)
The GPG family represents KAVOE's most powerful directed-energy weapon systems. Every GPG weapon contains a Positron Interaction Chamber where electron-positron annihilation produces gamma photons. A Gorbillian Guidance Field shapes the interaction so gamma photons are emitted with a common preferred direction, producing a highly collimated stream. GPG weapons employ the Death Ray (DR) scale from DR-1 through DR-20. They eliminate projectile travel time, recoil, and ammunition magazines, offering superior armor penetration and exceptional anti-spacecraft performance. They are generally unsuitable for ordinary infantry service due to enormous power and cooling requirements.

Section III — Myrmidon Modular Missile System
The MM-50 Myrmidon is a standardized family of missile bodies, guidance packages, propulsion units, and interchangeable warhead modules. The TMPS-8 propulsion unit operates efficiently in both atmosphere and vacuum. Missile families include: MM-50A Aegis (ground surface-to-air interceptor), MM-50S Spear (long-range ship-to-ship), MM-50O Hammerfall (orbital bombardment), and MM-50L Harpoon (Leviathan-specialized). Warhead families include HE-50 High Explosive, VW-50 Vertikron, GI-50 Gravity Implosion, AM-50 Antimatter, FU-50 Fusion, and FI-50 Fission.

Section IV — Experimental Weapons
The Metric Distortion Cannon (MDC) is an experimental weapon derived from Gorbillian spacetime mathematics. It generates a transient localized distortion in the spacetime metric surrounding a distant target, causing internal stresses that can buckle armor and fracture composite materials. Testing has been limited to small targets at approximately 8 kilometers. Intelligence indicates the Quolesh routinely employ mature metric-distortion weapons, and Zelmok forces are also believed to field operational versions. KAVOE currently classifies the MDC as a strategic research program.
Section V — Additional Weapons Systems
Electronic Warfare systems attack an opponent's ability to detect, communicate, navigate, or coordinate. Cyberwarfare systems deliver malicious software against hostile computers and networks. Countermeasure systems defend friendly forces by intercepting or deceiving incoming threats. Tractor and Repulsor systems manipulate external objects for rescue, capture, and towing. Mine warfare provides area denial in planetary, orbital, and deep-space environments. Autonomous drones extend KAVOE' reach while reducing risk to personnel. Biological and Environmental Denial weapons are highly restricted systems limited to extraordinary strategic circumstances.
